SnugFit Metrics, a free 3D measurement tool for our clients to digitally obtain 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 on any 3D scan data from the SnugFit products. Example 3D data can be for an arm, hand, head, chest, torso, knee, or foot. This tool is particularly beneficial for professionals in fields like orthopedics, prosthetics, and custom clothing design, enabling them to obtain exact measurements quickly and efficiently.
Using the Cross Section Function to Measure Perimeters or Circumferences
Adjust the Intersection Plane:

XYZ Axis Rotation: Rotate the plane along the X, Y, and Z axes to align it properly with the part of the body you wish to measure.

XYZ Axis Translation: Move the plane along the axes to position it at the exact height or depth required.

Rescaling: Adjust the size of the cross-section plane to fit the area of the body perfectly. This ensures the contour captured is accurate.
Obtain Measurements: Once the intersection plane is correctly positioned, it will intersect the 3D model and highlight the contour of the body part. SnugFit Metrics will automatically calculate and display the perimeter or circumference of this contour.
Using the Distance Function to Measure Distances

Click on the first point of interest on the 3D model.
